Our name: SakhiThemba is a Xhosa word meaning “Building Hope.”
Our slogan: We rise by lifting others. Understanding that the broken humans of this world make the greatest healers. If someone wants to do good, they’ll do good, whether they have a billion Rands or just one. Because we know that when you lift others up, your arms get stronger.
SakhiThemba Social Solutions Non-Profit Company (NPC) is a Durban based national, dynamic and vibrant public benefit organisation (PBO No: *** *** ***), established to assist in the creation of happy, healthy, economically self-sustaining South African communities, where every person, especially the youth, people with impairments and women has the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their race, creed, gender, or culture.
Our comprehensive approach focusses not only on providing emergency relief but also equipping people with the skills, education and opportunities necessary to achieve financial independence and dignity.
We are a BBBEE Level 1 compliant organisation, committed to creating impactful change, fostering resilience, and ensuring that no one is left behind in our pursuit of community empowerment.
